About the Role:

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work closely with the founding team to integrate our product with Apache Spark and ensure its compatibility with various supported runtimes.

Your work will make a significant impact on data processing that involves handling petabytes of data daily with Xonai deployments.

What You Will Do:

  • Optimize code generation for executing JIT-compiled code on CPUs, including Arm and x86 architectures.
  • Implement compiler optimizations based on compile-time and runtime information.
  • Enhance profiling and debugging features for CPU executions.
  • Enhance the current compiler design and toolchain.
  • Collaborate with the team to drive innovations at the intersection of Big Data and compilers.

What You Will Bring:

  • 3+ years of experience with large Scala applications.
  • Proficiency in Scala and Java programming.
  • Ability to navigate through complex codebases to extract relevant details.
  • Solid understanding of computer science principles like algorithms and data structures.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work independently.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Entrepreneurial mindset and experience in early-stage startups.
  • Knowledge of CI and CD tools like GitHub actions.
  • Familiarity with Big Data file formats such as Parquet, ORC, and Avro.
  • Understanding of Big Data processing engine internals.
