Job Description

We are looking for a number of Domiciliary Care Workers to provide practical help, support and encouragement to those who could not otherwise manage satisfactorily in their own homes. You will be providing personal care services to individuals of all genders, including male and female clients, with dignity and respect, regardless of their gender identity or expression. Role will involve undertaking domestic, personal and social care to enable the person you are caring for to achieve and maintain as much independence as possible within their own homes. Ensuring service users are always treated with courtesy and their needs are respected.

You will need Full UK licence and own vehicle for the role.
Hourly rate £12ph Mon-Fri and £12.50ph Sat to Sun, 35p per mile for using own vehicle.

Main Responsibilities


• To provide care, including assistance with washing, dressing, feeding and toileting.

• To perform domestic duties such as cleaning, laundry, food preparation, washing, ironing and bed making.

• To talk to the Service User, you are caring for; to help maintain social contacts and help with shopping, collection. pensions/prescriptions and paying bills if deemed necessary in the Care Plan.

• Conduct all aspects of planned care in accordance with the agreed care plan.

• Ensure you are always punctual to all visits, reporting and agreeing any changes to the agreed care plan with the office.

• To report to the office if it is taking you a longer or shorter time to complete assigned visits.

• Observe and inform the Care Coordinator/Care Manager/Registered Manager of any changes in a person's circumstances physical health or emotional wellbeing.

• To ensure a detailed record of care given is logged in the communications log via the electronic platform.

• To undertake any training as identified by the Care Co-ordinator/Registered Manager/Field Care Supervisor.

• Where Electronic Call Monitoring Systems are in use, that you log in and out of all calls, reporting any issues to the office.

• Ensure that high standards of care are maintained and to comply with the Care Worker Code of Practice.

• Ensure you are accurate with written and verbal communication skills.

• Knowledge of basic hygiene standards and good housekeeping skills.

• Attention to detail.

• Excellent customer service skills.

• Ability to communicate on all levels.

• Must be able to work as part of a team.

• Good command of the English language.
