Purpose of the role:

To report directly to the Construction manager on all matters relating to the day to day running of the sites.

To take full responsibility for the Health & Safety, protection of works, presentation and quality of the product. To meet thedemands of the build programme and financial parameters set by the Commercial team for the projects.

Key responsibilities:

  • Always comply with company policies
  • Ensure all contractors and visitors are aware of Fusion's Health & Safety policy and ensure they do not go on site if they are not inducted or accompanied by a Fusion representative who is.
  • Ensure the company Health & Safety policy and procedures are strictly adhered to.
  • Maintain and produce up to date Health & Safety reports
  • Ensure all environmental and waste management policies are adhered to
  • Ensure that all staff, subcontractors and visitors on site are appropriately inducted
  • Ensure that all personnel including subcontractors work within the required specification and company standards and policies
  • Motivate, support and manage site staff and train and appraise performances and standards
  • Communicate with and ensure timely delivery of appropriate engineering & design information, and delivery of site goods and materials to the build programme
  • Attend prestart meetings and ongoing site meetings with contractors and main contractors as required minuting inputs and outputs and liaison with delivery teams
  • Deliver toolbox talks on site
  • Carry out prestart site inspections and site level surveys are completed with results recorded in a timely manner
  • Ensure anything that could adversely affect the business is communicated immediately to the construction manager.
  • Maintain regular production reporting to the construction manager
  • Carry out regular quality checks and inspections and report any nonconformances QA inspection sheets and practical completion certificates
  • Ensure site diaries, plant and materials are managed diligently
  • Always always set a good example and professional conduct

  • Results orientated with a positive outlook
  • Work effectively as a part of a team
  • Reliable and able to manage punctuality, attendance and time management
  • Wellpresented and professional appearance
  • Able to deal professionally with difficult people and situations
  • Able to drive with a clean driving license & own car
  • Able to commit to extended hours when required to meet programme requirements
  • Prepared to travel and stay away to various sites within operating region
  • Able to work to tight deadlines
  • Time management and prioritisation skills
  • Deliver clear and unambiguous and unbiased information and instructions
  • Good at identifying and solving problems
  • Persuasive nature

Qualifications:

  • SSSTS or SMSTS card holder
  • Current full UK driving license
Experience

  • Previous experience within the commercial construction industry
Knowledge

  • Good knowledge of building regulations

Qualifications:

  • First aider at work
Basic scaffold inspection qualified.
Work at height and LOLER trained.
NVQ level 3 / 4 BTEC diploma in construction or similar
Experience

  • Previous experience within the MMC sector
Previous experience within the light gauged steel industry.
