We seek to appoint a new Head of School with outstanding leadership skills, an academic background in one of our cognate disciplines, and the confidence and vision to lead the School of MHSES and inspire our large and diverse academic community of 450 colleagues based within our four Institutes.


Creating a positive and collegiate environment, you will provide strategic leadership in teaching, learning and research, developing a shared vision for the School that embodies agility and flexibility, while championing the development of strong working relationships between the School and other parts of the University.

As an ambassador for the School, College and University, you will develop and nurture relationships with external stakeholders, while encouraging a culture of open communication, where all students and members of staff are engaged and their contributions are encouraged and valued.
