The Opportunity


We are looking for a Senior PMO (Portfolio/Programme/Project Management Office) Consultant with excellent domain knowledge and experience to join us and become an integral part of our London based Programme & Project Management (PPM) team.

PPM exists within Arup's Client Advisory business, alongside other teams across the UK providing a range of services, including strategy & insight, finance & economics, and assets & operations.

You will bring a desire to deliver meaningful work with successful outcomes for our clients through innovative solutions;

  • Do you have experience in establishing PMO functions?
  • Have you analysed client processes and recommended improvements?
  • Do you have examples of where you have developed new processes, tools and templates?
The role will touch on multiple PMO facets, and it will be beneficial if you are familiar with many of the below areas, though not necessarily a specialist:

Programme Governance and Assurance, Risk and Issue Management, Schedule Management, Integrated Planning, Financial Management - including commercial and procurement activities, Change Management, Stakeholder Engagement & Communication, Reporting, Performance Monitoring and Quality Assurance, Information & Knowledge Management, Benefits Management, Dependency and Assumption Management.


Is this role right for you?

  • You will have experience working in large complex Portfolios/Programmes, preferably awareness of Managing Successful Programme & demonstratable experience across multiple PMO facets,
  • You have the ability to distinguish the similarities and differences between Portfolio/Programme/Project offices
  • You will ideally hold a professional qualification in Project and Programme Management e.g. APM PMQ, Prince2, MSP, P30, P3M
