This is an exciting opportunity to join our team at First Base, providing an essential frontline service to people experiencing homelessness.

First Base is a Day Centre in Brighton which provides a range of services for clients, including:

support to access accommodation; access to health and substance misuse services; managing benefit claims; and support to access to financial services.


Salary:
£25,544 per annum


37 hours per week

Based in Brighton

5.5% employer's pension contribution (the level of this is reviewed annually)
We are looking for a Case Worker to join our team.

As a Case Worker you will help with the day-to-day running of our day centre and support a caseload of clients to end their homelessness and achieve their goals and aspirations.


Working collaboratively with your colleagues and partners from a wide variety of voluntary and statutory agencies including Housing, Health, and Social Care, you will be skilled at engaging with people whose behaviour can sometimes be challenging, helping them find the motivation to make positive changes in their lives.


With experience of case work, client needs assessment and support planning, you should have professional experience of working with people who are homeless or inadequately housed or working with people in similar circumstances.
