The Role


The Head of Talent Operations will play a key role in building and managing a world-class Talent function for HeliosX, ensuring we attract and recruit the best talent as we scale.

You'll be responsible for all aspects of hiring globally, working closely with the Leadership Team to plan capacity and build a talent strategy to help the business scale.

You will also lead a Talent team compromised of Talent Partners, Talent Sourcers, and a Talent Coordinator.

  • Key responsibilities include_:
Hiring Strategy and Talent Management

  • Manage HeliosX's attraction, selection and hiring strategy to recruit the best talent for our business.
  • Work closely with the Leadership Team to plan capacity and build a hiring roadmap as the business continues to scale.
  • Drive agenda of Hiring Manager enablement, ensuring managers are best equipped to deliver strong hiring outcomes.
  • Working with the VP of People, lead on the execution and delivery of HeliosX's external employment brand ensuring the HeliosX mission and message are clear, accurate and powerfully leveraged as an employer of choice.
  • Prioritise roles and delegate appropriate resources within the Talent function.
  • Use internal and external data points to identify the best strategies and areas of improvement, forecast future talent needs and ensure our Talent team is set up to deliver against those needs.
  • Understand and create a global hiring model to support our expansion.
Reporting and Process Management

  • Working with the Lead Talent Partner to manage reports and dashboards to measure recruiting performance.
  • Develop and analyse our recruitment metrics to continuously refine and improve the talent acquisition process.
  • Drive monthly reports on key recruitment metrics such as time to hire, cost per hire, and offer acceptance rate to the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Research cuttingedge technologies and evaluate the recruiting stack; identity, evaluate, and implement systems, tools and automation to drive efficiency in the recruitment process.
Functional Management

  • Build, develop and inspire a Talent Acquisition team that includes fulllife cycle recruiting, sourcing, and recruiting operations.
  • Effectively manage team performance and organise/manage team capacity to ensure all deliverables are met.
  • Oversee the training of all hiring managers and ensure this remains up to date and cutting edge.
  • Optimize the talent operations process to maximise hiring velocity and quality using a datadriven approach.
  • Ensure the overall daytoday operations within the function run smoothly.

What you'll bring to HeliosX
Knowledge and Experience

  • Extensive experience working in highgrowth, fastpaced startups/scaleups, preferably in the growth stage.
  • Experience in building highperforming Operations, Product, Marketing and Engineering teams.
  • Previous experience in setting up or leading a direct recruitment model with very low recruitment agency use.
  • Strong experience in managing small Talent Acquisition teams, compromised of high performing recruiters.
  • Exposure to hiring at scale, with experience leading a team to deliver against ambitious hiring plans, putting in place operational systems to support the rapid growth of the company.
  • Applicant tracking systems awareness, with a strategic ability to streamline the recruiting and hiring process.
  • Strong management experience and a successful track record of building, inspiring and managing a recruiting team; ability to coach and effectively delegate, sharing feedback and influencing.
  • Previous evidence of contributing to the successful delivery of positive organisational and cultural change in who and how companies hire.

Skills:

  • A strategic and analytical talent acquisition expert with deep knowledge of the latest and greatest recruiting resources and strategies to guide and optimize overall hiring practices.
  • The ability to partner with C-Suite and Hiring Managers to develop recruiting dashboards and create the capability to make datadriven decisions and recommendations where possible.
  • Ability to harness a deep understanding of the business, revenue models and how they translate into a different hiring strategy.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and build trusted advisory relationships at all levels of the company.
  • Ability to lead in a fastpaced, ambiguous, and distributed environment, scaling with efficiency and poise while taking a flexible approach.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to understand how different businesses/models work and why and how the talent function can impact those outcomes.
