Job Description Summary

We have an excellent opportunity within our Dowty Propellers business for the role of an Operations Team Leader. Reporting to the Operations Leader, you will oversee the daily operations of plants to ensure production line efficiency in support of the RISE program focusing on composite manufacturing.

Your responsibilities will include managing a team of 20+ Blade Operators, handling daily operations, weekly forecasts, as well as providing guidance and support to the team.

Job DescriptionRoles and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for ensuring production compliance within the Composite Manufacturing area to support the RISE program.
  • Participate in RISE IPT meetings and act on assigned actions to meet program milestones efficiently.
  • Manage front-line manufacturing employees and oversee their operations.
  • Enhance technical knowledge to execute policies/strategies effectively.
  • Support specialized technical fields while acquiring advanced knowledge and skills.
  • Understand key business drivers to enhance work performance.
  • Coordinate with other teams and understand how own team's work contributes to the overall process.
  • Have autonomy to make decisions within a set framework.
  • Resolve complex issues requiring technical expertise and judgment.
  • Seek guidance from senior team members for challenges beyond standard procedures.
Required Qualifications
  • Prior experience in team management preferred.
  • Significant background working on the shop floor in a manufacturing environment.
