What is the role?


Saints Foundation bring Southampton FC to the heart of the community, using the power of the club and our passionate team to help fulfil individual potential and make Southampton a better place to live for all.


The role will support the Employability area of work to support with the delivery of the Saints Works Project, working alongside the Employability Project Officer, targeting year olds using the power of the Southampton FC brand to inspire and motivate those that are furthest away from the job market to unlock their potential and create a individualised pathway plan that works for them.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide delivery support to the Employability and Life Skills Team, working on project Saints Works.
  • Provide group based activity to the highest standards that will engage young people and young adults, to develop employability, personal, social and life skills.
  • Working closely with Employability project officer to support participants in their progression into further education, training or employment.
  • Support in the delivery of Employability Workshops such as: Communication Skills, Confidence Building, Teamwork and Interview Preparation
  • Support the Employability Project officer to ensure all participants has a 'Personal Development Plan' that is individual to the participants needs and support them in robust goal setting.

Essential Experience:

  • Experience of delivering or providing targeted interventions to young people in classroom settings.
  • Experience of successfully delivering communitybased projects, that meets the needs of vulnerable young people.
  • Qualified to a minimum UKCC level 1/or Level 1 Youth Work.
  • A strong knowledge of community engagement programmes specifically tailored to NEET young people.
  • Have excellent communication and organisation skills.
