About the Senior Finance Analyst - Inventory, Margin & Loss role at Boots Opticians:
Boots Opticians is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst to join the Controllership team. In this role, you will report to the Finance Manager and be responsible for managing stock recognition, supplier funding processes, and supporting various teams cross-functionally.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate reporting of stock and margin during month-end
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations for designated areas
- Manage stock movements related to returns processes
- Provide support to the finance manager in overseeing the supply chain cost centre
- Collaborate with supply and loss team for reporting and projects
- Aid in budgeting, forecasting, and external audit processes
- Identify opportunities for process efficiency through automation
- Engage in ad hoc projects as needed
Requirements:
- Part-qualified or newly qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, etc.)
- Strong communication skills to engage with stakeholders
- Proactive workload management and meeting deadlines
- Critical thinking and attention to detail
- Ability to challenge and enhance processes with technical accounting knowledge
- Proficiency in Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SAP and business objects is a plus
