Do you have design engineer experience, and are you seeking a new contract job in Coventry? Jonathan Lee Recruitment is helping a collaborative company recruit a Prototype Design Engineer, and the role comes with a contract rate of £25.96 per hour.


As a Prototype Design Engineer, you will be primarily responsible for designing unique prototype components to support all of the company's early physical prototype builds.

You will also develop innovative new content to create prototype properties suitable for test and development.

The role is closely linked with the Additive Manufacturing Centre and BIW fixture design team and will offer design support to both areas when required.

In your first few weeks in this Prototype Design Engineer role, you can expect to:

Generate 3D/2D prototype CAD solutions to support critical build test and development
Deliver body in white trim and final design by vehicle attributes
Manage parts in lifecycle software like iPLM, Teamcenter and Catia V5/V6.
To apply for this Prototype Design Engineer role, your soft skills, expertise, and experience should include:

Proficiency in Catia V5 or V6 and experience in Lifecycle Management tools
Evidence of creating design concept proposals
The ability to analyse and present data to lead engineers and seniors.
