Role Summary


The post holder will support admissions, recruitment and marketing activities for undergraduate and postgraduate students to help the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences achieve its targets.

They will support the admissions process through to confirmation.

They will take a proactive role in student recruitment helping to plan and deliver high quality activities, also evaluating success and using their initiative to find innovative improvements.

They will support marketing activity, helping with the creation of compelling content for all channels. The post holder will also support outreach activities for Schools and the College.

Main Duties

UG/PGT Student Recruitment and Admissions

  • Support confirmation and clearing; assist academics, manage enquiries and confirmation of students
  • Use and provide guidance on the use of admissions systems, qualification equivalencies and general admissions issues
  • Act as a point of contact for enquiries throughout the recruitment cycle where required and ensure they are properly followed up using appropriate channels
  • Maintain relevant databases
  • Monitor admissions data using appropriate systems, reporting where required. Analyse the data and make suggestions about appropriate interventions depending on performance and trends
  • Liaise with central departments such as Admissions, Student Services, Campus Services etc. where required
  • Support the planning and delivery of School plans for student recruitment
  • Working with the team, plan appropriate student recruitment activities making suggestions for new and innovative ways to attract and convert prospective students
  • Support the organisation and delivery of events such as open days, offer holder days and webinars
  • Help plan the budget required for activities and carry out financial admin tasks
  • Provide conversion activities for Schools such as mailshots, personalised letters, newsletters and calling campaigns
