Painter and Decorator - FlexiBank

One Ashford Hospital in Kent is looking for a skilled Painter and Decorator to support the Maintenance team on an ad-hoc basis. This is an exciting new role for our hospital, you will be helping with the re-decorating of all areas of the hospital on a rolling programme of work.

Please note: this is a FlexiBank role working on an 'as and when required' basis; you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff during periods of annual leave or absence.

Reporting to the Facilities Manager, as our Painter and Decorator you will support the team with painting projects throughout the year in all areas of the hospital.

It would involve some evenings, weekends, and daytime work, dependent on when we can plan in the work around the hospitals activity, taking into account the health and safety of our patients and staff at all times.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds / NVQ Painting & Decorating or equivalent

Role requirements

• Previous experience of painting and / or decorating in a commercial environment.
• Ability to work under pressure to complete the work in a speedy and safe manner
• Manage own work to maintain the agreed time schedules
• Undertake minor maintenance repair work associated with the role as required
• Understand and demonstrate the importance of Health and Safety in the workplace
• Comply with organisational safety, policies, and procedures
• Familiarity with Fire Safety regulations
