This London based primary school are looking to appoint a strong SENCO to join their SEN team from September 2024 to the end of the academic year on a full-time basis.

About the role: Special Education Needs Coordination:

Lead and oversee the school's SEN provision, ensuring that students with special educational needs receive the support they require.

Individual Education Plans (IEPs): Develop and implement personalized IEPs for students with SEN, working closely with teachers, parents, and external specialists

Collaboration:
Foster effective communication and collaboration among teachers, support staff, parents, and outside agencies to ensure a holistic approach to student support

Monitoring Progress:
Regularly assess and monitor the progress of students with SEN, adjusting strategies and interventions as needed to promote their academic and personal development

Training and Guidance:
Provide guidance and training to teachers and support staff on effective strategies for inclusive teaching and working with students with SEN

Data Management:
Maintain accurate records of students with SEN, ensuring that relevant documentation is up-to-date and compliant with regulatory requirements

Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and SENCO qualification.
Experience working as a SENCO or in a similar role.
Strong understanding of SEN regulations and best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lead, inspire, and collaborate effectively.
