Join an Exciting Team as Head of Software Engineering

Ada Meher is excited to collaborate with a dynamic SME based in Bristol & London that is on the path to growth. They are currently seeking a Head of Software Engineering to spearhead innovation and progress within their technical team.

  • Role: Head of Engineering
  • Location: Bristol/London bi-weekly (Hybrid Remote)
  • Salary: £110-130k DOE

In this role, you will lead a team of 7 individuals dedicated to enhancing the architecture, delivery, and new feature development of their flagship product. Collaboration with the CTO on strategic planning and roadmap development will also be part of your responsibilities. This company specializes in SaaS solutions that enable brands to effectively grow their online communities and revenue.

Essential Experience:
  • Experience in scaling engineering teams across multiple growth phases
  • Prior leadership of a small Engineering team
  • Background in B2B2C SaaS
  • Familiarity with SaaS environments
  • Proficiency in AWS, Infrastructure, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) is advantageous
  • Expertise in security implementation (ISO27001)
  • Strong skills in JavaScript/Typescript Engineering (MEAN/MERN background preferred)

Position: The current tech focus revolves around MEAN with AI components and serverless AWS deployments. The ideal candidate should possess a robust JavaScript/Typescript foundation with an interest in cloud technologies and AI. This role will entail a mix of hands-on tasks and managerial duties, including leading code reviews, guidance, and project resource allocation.
