Key accountabilities:
Based at Ricardo's Midlands Technical Centre you will be responsible for driving a long-based Sprinter van. Your day will consist of Multiple drops, delivering and collecting high value transmission components to multiple suppliers, with an average of 10 per day at various destinations over the UK.
Normal hours of working = 37.5 hours per week
07:30 - 16:00 Monday – Thursday, 07:30 – 12:30 Friday
Includes 30 mins Lunch Break
Additional/special features of the role:
You will be required to carry out daily and weekly vehicle safety checks. Ensuring vehicles are kept clean and tidy inside and out. Keep a travel log to record areas travelled to, travel time, and work hours. Manual handling will be required, to load and unload at most clients. Completion of system paperwork, counting parts and moving on to the next operations within production.
You will be required to take driver competence assessments, manual handling course.
Report any case of accident, injury, or damage of vehicles to the Manager.
Company work wear will be provided and required to wear.
Essential technical and professional skills, knowledge and qualification:
A full clean driving license is preferred, but willing to consider 6 points or less, with no DD codes.
Desirable technical and professional skills, knowledge and qualification:
A forklift truck license would be desirable.
