An exciting residency opportunity has arisen for an artist/designer to explore their own practice and continuing their development as an artist as well as delivering artist talks and workshops through the medium of Welsh or bilingually to learners alongside the teams at Gower College Swansea.

The Artist in Residence will have use of space and equipment at Gower College Swansea Llwyn y Bryn Campus (where available) to explore their work.

During the residency there will be opportunities to see a range of work produced with the learners and exhibit alongside them, meet other artists and organisations in the sector.

The primary purpose of the role will be to develop Welsh-medium opportunities for our learners.

The Artist in Residence programme is flexible and will be developed and defined depending on the art form area and the artist's level of experience and expertise.

There will be opportunities to research, develop and present a work in progress with support, space and time from the college.

A clear and confident communicator, you will have the ability to motivate and inspire students.

You will have good organisational and problem solving skills and the ability to work both on your own initiative and as part of a team.

You will be prepared to work flexibly

Showcasing to learners how to promote their practice bilingually through social media platforms will be integral, alongside sharing your residency through the colleges social media platforms.
