Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive who is looking to contribute to the growth and development of the Private Client Department within our client, Quality Solicitors Barwells.

Based across Barwells' offices in East Sussex, in this role you will manage your own caseload efficiently and, in a cost effective and profitable manner, utilise support staff and resources available to maximise efficiency.

Sourcing new business and buildingvaluable business relationships within the local area, you will have the ability to explain matters in simple terms and treat clients with compassion.

Responsibilities

• To manage all client work allocated by the Head of department or other Partner and in accordance the Office Manual and Case Management systems
• To ensure that all client work is progressed expeditiously
• To achieve agreed levels of billing, time recording and regular updates on progress and costs to clients
• Close liaison with Accounts, to have overall responsibility for credit control on own matters.
• To comply with the Solicitors Accounts Rules and the Rules on the Professional Conduct of Solicitors.
• To ensure good working relationships with external institutions and organisations.
• To supervise, support and develop immediate support staff.
• To take responsibility for and attend to selfdevelopment.
• To comply with the relevant training requirements of the Law Society and to assist with inhouse training as may be required.
• In liaison with Head of department and other Partners, to be active in promoting the services of the firm and its image and ethos.
• To secure the confidentiality and security of the firm's client documentation and information.
