The employee in this position reports to the Site QA Manager.

This is a shop floor-based role so is suitable for someone who enjoys a hands-on position and requires building a strong working relationship with Production.


Working Days
We have twilight shifts available - we only give our colleagues fixed shifts on either days or twilight (some of these shifts can be early starts and twilight shifts can finish at 23.00)

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensuring compliance to site policies, procedures and customer COP's.
  • Completion of esmiley records
  • HACCP Team member
  • Assist in upholding BRC requirements on site
  • Reviewing the production records and assisting Production with their completion.
  • Being the main point of contact on the factory floor regarding food safety and legal compliance
  • Ensuring the timely and accurate completion of all technical records
  • Ensuring the factory is operating to the required GMP standards
  • Carrying out Factory and Process audits
  • Working alongside / with the production and management team to assist with nonconformance's and operational issues
  • Providing support during customer audits and visits as and when required
  • Ensuring products meet customer specification
  • Providing technical support and cover as and when needed
  • Internal audit completion
  • Complaint completion
Also, completing any reasonable additional tasks to support business needs as required.

Experience

  • QA/Technical experience & experience of External audits (BRC)
  • A good level of computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point), competent in report writing
  • Good understanding of basic food microbiology
  • Food Hygiene training
  • Knowledge of food legislation
  • Good working knowledge of HACCP / BRC
  • Experience of working within a factory environment
  • Internal audit skills, ability to complete an internal audit, communicate and close the actions
  • Complaints / Non-Conformance's investigation and management experience
  • Good communication skills, ability to communicate precise information to help deal with food safety incidents.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver to deadlines
  • Flexibility and ability to multitask

Salary:
£26,000.00 per year
