Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Invigilating touch screen tests
  • Notification of upcoming tests to the relevant Awarding Body within expected timescales
  • Meeting & greeting delegates/centre visitors
  • Ensuring acceptable ID is presented at time of test
  • Updating database with preand post
- course information. Including CCTV and voice recordings

  • Liaising with Internal Verifiers and assisting with preparation for annual audits
  • To assist in other administration duties when required including, but not limited to:
  • Internal and external telephone calls, including covering other departments calls as and when necessary
  • Receipt and distribution of incoming and outgoing post
  • Production and despatch of course materials and paperwork
  • Receipt/production/despatch of all certificates and ID cards
  • Set up and clear down of classrooms as required for weekly course schedule
  • Management and replenishment of general stationery items, delegate refreshments.
  • Maintaining course paperwork archive and filing systems
  • Assisting the Administration Department with ad hoc duties and projects as required.

The Person:

Experience

  • Proven track record of working in a busy office environment is desirable
  • Knowledge of CSCS and CPCS card schemes would be advantageous but not essential. Full training will be given.
Skills & Attributes

  • IT literate with knowledge and experience in Microsoft office programmes such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and use of database systems
  • Excellent customer service and people skills with a commitment to upholding excellent customer service levels
  • Selfmotivated and able to work on their own initiative
  • Good communication skills and an excellent telephone manner
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Keen eye for accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent team player and appreciative of the requirements of other departments
  • Strong time management and priorities skills
  • Positive, proactive and motivated
  • Ability to work flexibly

Hours: 8:00 - 5:00, Monday to Friday

(Although flexibility may be required to cover early course starts)
