Medical Centre Nurse

The Medical Centre plays a central role in the provision of outstanding pastoral care at Tonbridge School. The centre, which is a twelve-bedded unit, is staffed by six RGN team members and four general assistants to provide care 24 hours a day during term time whilst boys are resident in School. There are approximately 800 boys, of whom about 450 are boarders, and the Medical Centre is responsible for their full health supervision whilst at School. The Medical Centrehas daily contact with a variety of people both within and outside the School, such as Housemasters, teachers, parents and the School Doctor.

A nurse is required to join our team from September 2024. The successful applicant will be a qualified and practising RGN with excellent nursing and administrative skills and a caring and empathetic approach to working with young people. Experience of working in a similar environment would be an advantage, but it not essential.

The successful applicant will work Wednesday to Friday plus alternate Saturdays during term time, from 10am to 5.30pm daily.
