I am recruiting a
Team Leader (Court Services) to manage, motivate and develop a team of volunteers supporting witnesses through in their journey through the criminal justice system.


The Role:

- £21, 635 per annum
Monday to Friday

  • 29 hours per week
  • Permanent contract of employment

Responsibilities include:

  • People Management
  • Service Delivery
  • Stakeholder Engagement
  • Manage and develop performance of team
  • Support team through difficult situations
  • Maintain service delivery versus KPI's
  • Build and develop working relationships with external stakeholders (ushers, legal advisors, CPS prosecutors, solicitors, security staff)

The Person:

  • Any leadership/managerial experience will stand you in good stead for this role, as you will be leading a team of volunteers to support people as they move through the criminal justice system as a witness.
  • Experience of monitoring and maintaining the delivery of a service against agreed targets, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing change
  • Evidence of having built and developed effective and beneficial working relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience of and confidence in working independently and effectively without direct supervision demonstrating the ability to prioritise own workload including appropriate decision making
  • Proven experience of communicating sensitively and effectively both verbally and in writing with a wide range of people, including clients, 8 volunteers and stakeholders
  • Experience of delivering or supporting delivery of effective frontline services to a diverse range of clients and stakeholders
