An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our flagship gentleman's grooming and wellness salon (2000sq ft) in the heart of Mayfair, for a 12-month maternity cover contract.
This role requires the post holder to guide and lead a team of 18 self-employed service providers and a small FOH team.

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week
(any 5 days in 7, shifts vary between the hours of 8.30am-8pm) - Every Saturday and Sunday required.

£30, ,000 per annum

Act as an ambassador of a world-class destination and deliver our treatments in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures to ensure guests receive the expected and desirable level of customer service through a sincere approach of professionalism, valuable parting of knowledgeable advice, unsurpassed quality of delivery and genuine attention to customer fulfilment and experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Management
- Oversee the general daily running of the business.
- Be always present and a part of the team (some FOH duties are required).
- Monitor diaries daily, ensuring smart bookings and maximise capacity.
- Ensure stock ordering and control is managed efficiently and effectively.
Growth and Brand Awareness Management
- Develop relationships with surrounding business (such as hotels, offices etc.) to drive growth of client base.
- Be aware of competitors and develop strategies to be the first choice for new and existing clients.
- Develop and drive brand awareness across social media and ecommence platforms.
- Work with the NPD team to develop the Refinery brand.
- Participate in project work and/or lead projects, as directed, and implement any actions as necessary.
- Regularly liaise with the Global Finance Director and implement strategic changes to forecasting and brand growth and development plans.
Operations & Sales
- Deliver excellent product knowledge to our customers, engaging with our clients at every opportunity to introduce them to our retail ranges and cross pollinate treatments.
- Generate increased sales through repeat bookings, product sales, long standing bookings, and any other opportunities to clients to increase sales and service.
- Regularly work on reducing cost of goods and introduce fit for purpose solutions.
- Provide operational support for the team to ensure service levels are maintained during peak periods.
- Monitor diaries and introduce service providers/services to minimise white space and downtime.
- Promote the longterm success of the business.
- Review daily, weekly, and monthly performance of the business and implement strategy plans
Human Resources and Recruitment
- Work in conjunction with the HR Manager to recruit team members (selfemployed and employees)
- Complete monthly payroll submissions
- Review and sign off on consultant invoices
Leadership
- Supervise, motivate, and develop individuals within the team to enable them to meet current and future client needs.
- Lead by example, be reliable, flexible, honest and a strong advocate for The Refinery.
- Assist with developing succession plans to support the longerterm growth of the business as well as individual development needs.
- Delegate in a way that encourages development and creates a sense of ownership and responsibility within the team, working effectively and developing close relationships.
- Monitor your team to ensure their delivery of service in line with KPI criteria.
Person Specification:
Essential Key Competencies
- Minimum of 3year previous management experience in a premium Medi Spa or luxury grooming environment.
- Experience of taking the initiative and taking a positive and practical approach to problem solving
- Experience in business growth and development.
- Commercial awareness
- Experience and ability of sales and promotions
- Demonstrate attention to detail and time management
- Strong team working skills, able to work to shared objectives and procedures.
