The new appointee will undertake general and emergency gastroenterology duties including care of inpatients, cover of specialty referrals and support for procedures e.g ascitic drains, GI bleeds etc.
The appointee will be required to:
- Provide senior decision-making support for the care of gastroenterology in-patients and out-patients (some general medical patients are to be expected).
- Contribute to the teaching of both undergraduates and trainees.
- Undertake an annual job plan review, appraisal, and revalidation.
- Actively engage and contribute to the trust clinical governance processes.
The appointee will agree a job plan based on skills and experience which suits the development needs of the individual and the needs of the service.
