About the role
As a Distribution Insight Analyst you will be responsible for creating, developing and maintaining data pipelines, excel reports, excel automation macros and Tableau reports. The Distribution Insight team sit within Distribution & Fulfilment and are responsible for providing insight and reports to distribution teams including The Big 6, The Weekly Performance Pack and Safety. We also support the Network Planning teams with data management and streamlining their processes.

You will be responsible for
Supporting the development of new reports and processes when operational needs arise Improving dependency on TAP and removing standalone SQL Server systems Supporting the existing spreadsheets and macros to ensure any changes are integrated with no impact to current operations Providing contingency and backup for departmental systems to secure against data loss and system failure Assisting the Network Planning team with data sourcing when requiredYou will need
Complex SQL statements in SQL Server / Hadoop / Teradata Creating data visualisation Dashboards in Tableau Microsoft Excel VBA, complex pivot tables and slicers Manipulating data and managing data pipelines Operational Skills
Knowledge of databases and how data is structured Data-driven mind-set with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Skills in deriving insight from data and identifying new visualisations to show this Strong communication skills and engagement with stakeholders Ability to plan and organise workload Good attention to detailWhat's in it for you
