Logistics /production Assistant

This role has standard working hours between 7.30am - 4pm Monday - Friday, but there will be a requirement from time to time to support further additional operations outside of these working hours, plus holiday cover for other departmental staff which would mean working 40+ hours during these periods throughout the year.
The key responsibilities for this role are;
- Creation of documents to support the inbound or outbound shipping process, including international shipments
- Checking inbound product physically matches the documents supplied by the supplier/customer
- Populate and maintain inbound/outbound product tracking logs
- Checking and labelling outbound product before loading to ensure full conformity of physically supplied parts to the paperwork
- Raising route cards for newly received raw parts
- Stock takes of parts, racks, raw materials and consumables
- Specifying to customers raw material requirements to keep stock levels balanced
- Ordering raw materials and consumables where required
- Producton planing
- Invoicing, where required, to finalise the process after shipping
- Any other roles and/or tasks as required by the business
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, predominantly using Excel and Word.
- A solid understanding of shipping processes and Logistics/Warehouse environments
- Excellent administration skills
- Excellent English & communication skills written and verbal
- Happy to be outside at times of the day, every day, to undertake necessary tasks in the yard
- A positive and driven mentality with a 'can do' attitude
- An ability and willingness to take on new roles and tasks with confidence
- A Counterbalance FLT license would be needed.
