IT infrastructure Project Engineer

As an IT Project Engineer, you'll play a vital role in managing and executing IT infrastructure and cloud-based projects for their esteemed clients.


Here's what you can expect:

Key Responsibilities:

nTechnical Specification and Implementation:nGather client requirements and create technical specifications and project plans.nDesign, configure, and implement network, server, storage, security, and cloud solutions.nCollaborate with internal technical teams for seamless implementation.


nConfiguration of IT Infrastructure:


nConfigure and optimise IT components such as routers, switches, servers, and storage devices.nInstall and configure operating systems, applications, and software updates.nManage virtualisation environments like Hyper-V and Azure Virtual Desktop.


nUnderstanding and Documenting Existing IT Infrastructure:
nAssess and document clients' existing IT infrastructure.nAnalyse findings and identify improvement areas to enhance performance and security.

nImprovement Planning:
nDevelop improvement plans and roadmaps based on client objectives.nRecommend upgrades, migrations, and optimisations for better performance and scalability.

nProject Management:


nEnsure timely project delivery within scope, budget, and quality requirements.nProvide technical expertise, resource planning, and status updates to stakeholders.nResolve technical issues during project execution.


nAccreditations:
nAssist clients in achieving Cyber Essentials accreditation.nLiaise with clients to address vulnerabilities and risks identified during assessments.

nHelpdesk Support:
nProvide level 3 technical support to clients remotely and onsite.nResolve complex technical issues and mentor helpdesk staff.

Prerequisites:

nStrong technical knowledge in networking, servers, storage, virtualization, and security.nProven experience in managing IT infrastructure projects.nAbility to assess existing infrastructure and develop improvement plans.nExcellent communication and collaboration skills.nRelevant certifications such as MCSE, CCNP, VCP are desirable.nStrong customer service orientation.
