Trauma Research Nurse/ Research Associate

The post offers an ideal opportunity for a motivated, enthusiastic person who wishes to undertake trauma research recruitment within a clinical environment. We are looking for an individual to join the trauma research team within the Kadoorie Centre for Critical Care Research and Education.

We work closely with the Trauma Unit, the Major Trauma Centre, Kadoorie, Oxford Trauma and Emergency Care, Oxford University and the National Institute of Health Research, Clinical Research Network. The team recruits to clinical trials and research studies in a range of areas within the trauma specialty.

Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for the day-to-day recruitment and co-ordination of clinical trials and research studies within our portfolio. These are conducted to the highest standard according to Good Clinical Practice guidelines.

Job responsibilities

You will recruit to and contribute to the administration of new clinical trials and research studies suitable for the United Kingdom Clinical Research Network (UKCRN) portfolio. You will raise the profile of clinical trials and research studies within the Trauma Unit, the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and within the regional Clinical Research Network. You will work with the other members of the research team and with the wider multi-disciplinary community in the coordination of participants in research studies.
