Graduate Hotels is seeking a full-time Leisure Team Member to join Graduate Cambridge and its brilliant team of hospitality enthusiasts
The 148-bedroom Graduate Cambridge hotel is part of the Graduate Hotels collection inspired by the prestigious University of Cambridge and its surrounding town.
THE ROLE
As a Leisure Team Member, you will be the first point of contact to welcome our guests/members into the leisure club overseeing the leisure club operation.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Answering the phone, supporting with membership sales, membership enquiries, and guest questions whilst focusing on delivering exceptional standards of service to drive our guest's and members' experience.
Ensuring guests/members feel welcome, supported and at home within our leisure area by regularly walking the gym floor, providing a warm welcome and ensuring people have what they need.
Remaining up to date with industry and competitor trends - it's the only way to achieve outstandingDriving sales, revenue, and financial targets to ensure the leisure area is a success.
Ensuring the gym, showers, changing rooms and pool area are kept to exceptional standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
Adhere to health and safety procedures, and report anything which causes concern to the appropriate Manager.
Liaise with the maintenance teams to ensure the highest and most professional standards of all facilities.
To ensure day-to-day preparation of facilities.
Ensure that all users always behave in an orderly manner and take appropriate action should any member of the public misuse the facilities.
To take on relevant responsibilities during Emergency Procedures.Undertake any necessary life-saving operations in the pool and apply First Aid as needed.
To make and record periodic checks on chemical levels of the pool water and report to a manager should it fail to meet the required standards.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR FROM YOU
You hold a Level 2 fitness instructor qualification.
NPLQ and Pool plant qualification - (desirable but not essential).
Ability to take the initiative and a practical approach to problem-solving.
Flexibility is required for working hours as weekend and evening work will be required.
Passionate about the hospitality industry, you will be driven to provide exeptional service.
