About the role and our team
We are looking for reliable and committed individuals to join our Exam Invigilator list, assisting with examinations in the Islands' High Schools and the University College Isle of Man


You won't just be required in the summer months, as we now have external exams taking place in January and November and internal mock exams occurring throughout the year.

You'll work as and when required and there is no obligation for you to undertake work or for the Department to provide work.


We are looking for individuals who have the ability to relate and engage well with students, making them feel as comfortable as possible for what is a stressful time in their lives.

You'll be part of a friendly team who are happy to support you in this role. If you would benefit from flexible working times, like the sound of playing a vital role in our schools community, then this could be the role for you

What can this role offer me?


No qualifications are required for this role and you'll receive a full training programme including annual training to maintain knowledge of current exam regulations, so if you're looking to try something new this role could be perfect for you.


This is a great opportunity to use your skills to allow students on the Isle of Man to complete qualifications which will help them work towards their future ambitions.

Please note an enhanced with barring police check is required for this post, which the Department will cover the cost of for you.

Please note if you have lived for more than 6 months outside of the UK in the last 5 years, you will be required to obtain a Letter of Good Standing from the appropriate authorities in the relevant locations, please read the guidance about how to obtain this letter.

A relocation package and interview expenses are not available for this role.
