Metalis is collaborating with a Manufacturer in Sheffield, who due to continuous growth are seeking to onboard an experienced Manufacturing Supervisor on a long-term basis.

Essential requirement: Experience with Extrusion machinery.

Job Duties:
  • To take complete responsibility of the shift in terms of staff management and manufacturing processes.
  • Full site responsibility for out of hours operation ensuring alignment with senior management's expectations, including managing communications with offsite staff/resources where necessary.
  • Dedicated to achieving excellence in all daily duties and those of the team.
  • Managing production, quality, and waste targets for smooth manufacturing processes.
  • Effective utilization of company material resources as per specifications for optimal operating costs.
  • Ensuring quality and product standards align with company's systems and procedures.
  • Managing, developing, and motivating direct reporting staff, focusing on both improvement areas and good performance.
  • Active involvement in company's continuous improvement efforts for future growth plans.
  • Monitoring, measuring, and reporting on production-related process performance and general issues.
  • Ensuring clear verbal and written communication with all staff members.
  • Adherence to health and safety regulations during the shift and handling related matters in line with company policy.
