Do you have experience supporting children with SEND needs/Care background?


YSA Education are currently working with an all through special school in the Birmingham area that provides for children with Autism and challenging behaviour between the ages of 8years to 19 years.

This school prides itself on ensuring all children reach their full potential through high standards of teaching and learning.

Your role as a SEN Teaching Assistant would be to work alongside the class teacher, helping them to meet the differing needs of the children in the classroom.

They require Teaching Assistants for both primary and secondary age groups.

The hours for the roles are Monday - Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm and the school are looking to start suitable staff members as soon as possible.


Role Requirements:

  • Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting
  • Knowledge of early childhood development and educational principles
  • Ability to effectively communicate and interact with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Understanding of special education strategies and accommodations for students with diverse needs
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting student learning and growth
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the classroom
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in early childhood education or special education is a plus

Benefits:
