Overview:

We are excited to announce an opening for an Apprentice Baker at our new bakery, set to open in August 2024.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals passionate about baking and eager to learn the craft. Join our team and develop your skills in a dynamic, supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and baking of a variety of bakery products, including sourdough, pastries, loaves, Asian bread, and Asian cakes
• Learn and adhere to recipes and food safety standards
• Monitor oven temperatures and baking times to ensure quality
• Help with the ordering and inventory management of baking ingredients and supplies
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations
• Participate in training sessions to enhance baking skills and techniques

Qualifications:

• Passion for baking and a desire to learn and grow in the field
• Basic knowledge of food safety practices and procedures is preferred
• Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a fastpaced environment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when following recipes
• Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
• High school diploma or equivalent; enrollment in or completion of a culinary program is a plus but not required

Additional Details:

• This is a 3month apprenticeship contract. Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship and passing the required test, the Apprentice Baker will be promoted to a Baker position. If the test is not passed, the apprentice will be dismissed.
• All bakers, including apprentices, are required to start work at 6 AM.
