Are you technically minded, good at solving problems and have experience in planning, scheduling or project controls using SAP, Dassian or P6? Is your ideal role system-focused but with a helpful approach to guide others through a transformation?


We have an exciting opportunity for a Planning System Specialist working within the Project Controls Office to provide complex technical and professional advice in support of Project Planning and Controls across UK Electronics.

You will help to deliver a Project Controls and Planning solution with regard to SAP, P6 and Dassian, and contribute to the administration and management of business critical systems.


You will engage with users across the UK to resolve system issues, assist with deployment of planning capability and new ways of working, and develop professional standards to improve systems, processes and reporting using your technical expertise.


The role is a mixture of home based and onsite (UK-wide team so this can be your local Leonardo site).


_ What you'll do as a

Planning System Specialist:
_


  • Manage and maintain business critical Project Planning Systems for UK Electronics
  • Provide professional advice on Project Planning and Controls to the Integrated Project Teams, Functions and Lines of Business, in order to ensure compliance with internal and external standards
  • Assist in the development and audit of professional standards to support business adherence at all project stages
  • Contribute to the definition, delivery and improvement of Project Planning systems, processes, business reporting and training across UK Electronics
  • Coordinate changes from requirements capture to completion and delivery, to achieve required outputs to time, cost and quality standards
  • Make recommendations to support improved business effectiveness and decision making across UK Electronics.

  • You really must have:_
  • Detailed understanding of Project Planning and Controls operation and business systems
  • Good problemsolving skills, an approachable attitude and a desire to help users with the resolution of technical issues
  • Ability to influence and negotiate with others using facts and evidence to support line of reasoning
  • The confidence and ability to challenge/respond to challenge on professional or process issues
  • It would be nice if you had_:_
  • Experience in continuous improvement and problem solving techniques
  • An understanding of crossfunctional / commercial business processes
  • Experience in a similar role at the early stages of solution implementation and change.
