Job Description

Brickability Group plc is on the lookout for a Credit Controller to join our Finance team at our Bracknell office. As the Credit Controller, you'll be taking care of managing a debtors ledger and cash collection for a business or set of customers within the Brickability group of companies to ensure efficient collections and minimize risks.

We supply a diverse range of products to the construction industry and have experienced significant growth in recent years through both organic expansion and acquisitions.

Reports to: Finance Director

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactive communication with customers and sales team via various channels
  • Timely resolution of queries
  • Maintaining a clean ledger
  • Reconciling debtor accounts
  • Allocating cash and postings accurately
  • Setting up customer accounts, credit checks, and managing credit limits
  • Escalating issues to the Finance Director when necessary
  • Assisting with cash forecasting, debtor reporting, and audit processes
  • Supporting the broader Towelrads Finance team as needed

Personal Attributes

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Credit Control or Finance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Great Plains, Bistrack, or other Accounting Packages
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the business
  • Capacity to prioritize tasks and thrive under pressure
  • Methodical approach with keen attention to detail
  • Preferred: AAT or ICM certification
  • Preferred: Knowledge of the construction industry or distribution businesses

Job Type: Full Time 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
Working Days: Monday to Friday
Work Location: Bracknell
Work Authorization: United Kingdom (mandatory)
