About the Role:
- Assist in preparing tender and contract documents, such as bills of quantities.
- Conduct cost analysis and estimates for materials, labor, and equipment.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to ensure accurate budgeting and cost control.
- Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
- Monitor project costs, variations, and progress payments.
- Prepare interim valuations and final accounts.
- Attend project meetings and provide updates on cost-related matters.
- Help in resolving contractual and commercial issues.
- Contribute to enhancing cost management processes.
- Maintain accurate records related to quantity surveying activities.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a similar role within the construction industry is a plus.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and quantity surveying software.
- Knowledge of construction contracts and relevant legislation.
- Proactive problem-solving and decision-making approach.
- Efficient time management and task prioritization in a dynamic environment.
- Eagerness to learn and grow professionally in the construction sector.
