Teaching Personnel are working with local authorities to provide local community 1:1 tuition to children in care in Southwell and the surrounding areas. Our mission is to narrow learning gaps and help children achieve their full potential.

We have seen an increase in tuition requests to support pupils ahead of their GCSE's and core subject specialists would be beneficial to fulfil current demand. However, we do also cater to KS1 and KS2 pupils so welcome applicants from all backgrounds.

What will you be doing?

  • Providing 1:1 support in core subjects (Maths, English or Primary)
  • Planning individualised programmes of learning
  • Tutoring within the home or community environment
  • Tailoring your approach – supporting children to learn and progress at their own pace

What you need?

  • Hold a QTS/PGCE certificate or have alternative teaching /TA / Tutoring qualifcation
  • Endless enthusiasm and patience
  • Experience working with either primary or secondary pupils
  • Have some experience working with young people with SEN (desirable)
  • Flexible and adaptable to be able to differentiate effectively to provide an inclusive education for all
