We are in search of a prospective team member for the position of Vice President, Reconciliation Manager to join our Reconciliation Services Centre of Excellence team based in Manchester, UK, following a Hybrid Model (requiring a minimum of 3 days in office per week).
In this capacity, you will contribute in the following ways:
- Lead a medium to large reconciliation team, emphasizing timely and accurate delivery within agreed timelines and SLAs while upholding reconciliation standards, evidenced by green KPIs & KRIs
- Recruit, guide, motivate, and nurture staff to maximize their contributions, professional development, and teamwork effectiveness. Manage performance and establish area priorities.
- Assist the Senior Recon Manager in enhancing business operations efficiency. This involves standardizing processes to bolster controls, overseeing activities to ensure data quality and accuracy, and backing pivotal business initiatives for enhanced operational efficiency and client service.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of aligned Business Functions to identify issues and devise improvements. Support the formulation of procedures and processes for the Reconciliation function within the business unit.
- Act as an escalation point for complex scenarios, ensuring their successful resolution.
To excel in this role, we seek individuals with the following:
- Strong collaboration and communication skills (proficient in spoken and written English at the B2/C1 level).
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience blend (minimum 5 years in a similar role). Prior experience in FA or Reconciliation is necessary.
- Proficiency in MS Excel (including pivots, formulas, etc.) with an aptitude for swift adaptation to other applications.
- Knowledge of SQL, XEH, GRX, TLM, or other recon platforms.
- Analytical aptitude with a history of handling comprehensive financial/numerical data. Experience with large, complex databases and understanding their functioning is advantageous.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to manage high volumes within tight deadlines.
- Proven ability to lead by example, motivate, and foster a positive team environment.
