Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a role of an Endocrine Clinical Specialist Nurse for the Neuroendocrine Team.

You will provide expert care, advice and support to patients and their families with neuroendocrine tumours, adrenal cortical cancers, phaeochromocytomas and paragangliomas as well as genetic conditions under surveillance. You will act as a key worker and liaise with other healthcare professionals to provide the best possible specialist care for patients. This role is well suited to an applicant wishing to participate in MDT working. Oncology experience preferred.

Main duties of the job

The post holder is responsible for the provision of high quality, patient focused care in endocrinology. The role will primarily be based in the sub-specialist endocrine field of neuroendocrine tumours (NET) and endocrine cancers within the endocrine investigation unit.

Predominately working as a fully integrated member of the multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural endocrine and oncology team, using expertise to offer advice and specialist support to patients with endocrine and oncology needs, their families and colleagues, as necessary.

Responsible for assessing, implementing and monitoring specialist nursing care utilising a holistic approach.
