Avove is a new, independent utilities infrastructure business, formed from the utilities division of leading infrastructure services company, Amey.
We design, build and maintain the UK's utilities infrastructure to help transform local communities for the better.

The Role:
As Bid Writer you will be responsible for providing writing support to the Bid and Operational Teams, to produce high quality written material for bid submissions.
Responsibilities:
- Provide fulltime, embedded writing support to bid team, contributing original written material as appropriate
- Creating high quality content in response to Invitations to Tender
- Tailor high quality content to submit as responses to a full spectrum of Utilities tenders
- Quality control of bid content
- Ensure language, style and content is accurate, professional, consistent and appropriate for the specific client/sector/decision maker
Writing / Editing
- Write / edit proposal responses from a variety of stakeholders, typically involving contributions from BD / Operations / Engineers / Design.
- Develop knowledge of past submissions / bid library
- Identify and rework existing prewritten content where relevant.
- Assist Bid Director/Manager in developing, managing and monitoring progress of submission against bid programme, in particular review process
Skills and Experience:
- Experience of the bid process.
- Ability to produce expressive, easytoread written material quickly.
- Experience of developing knowledge libraries and document management systems
- Must be organised and methodical, with attention to detail
- Must have confidence and communication skills to be able to interact with a variety of stakeholders at all levels
MS Office
- Word Advanced Level and PowerPoint Advanced Level
- MS Teams and SharePoint
- Advanced Level.
