PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITY
Under the direction of the Applications Manager, or the Applications Director, the Software Engineer will be responsible for developing new computer programs, tools, utilities, modules, and applications from design, and inception, to implementation . The candidate will be responsible for gathering user requirements, performing analysis, and preparing technical documentation . The candidate will modify existing programs, prepare test data, perform unit testing, and help implement in accordance with development standards . The candidate will be proficient with web standards and Microsoft development tools including Visual Studio . Regular full-time attendance is required during regular office hours. In addition to regularly scheduled hours, the incumbent is subject to working overtime, weekends, holidays, late evenings, and early in the day.
EXPERIENCE
- Must Have: Web (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) C#, SQL Server
- 4-5 years' programming experience in C#, .NET, SQL, JavaScript, REST, HTML, CSS, and Web development environments.
- 2-3 years' system design experience along with exposure to project management .
- 2-3 years' trouble-shooting experience .
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Experience in project life cycle methodology including documentation requirements.
- Web programming toolsets such as MVC, JSON, Entity Framework , and other related Microsoft technologies , including Visual Studio and SQL Server .
- Interpreting user request and system design specifications and applying programming skills to produce a system that meets the stated requirements.
- Working independently with minimal supervision to accomplish established goals.
- Excellent technical, analytical, and troubleshooting skills .
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with users, vendors, and peers.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Microsoft Windows Developer Certification and/or SQL Server certifications a Plus .
- Web design and development certification is a Plus .
- Maintains a drug-free workplace and perform pre-employment Drug testing .
