An opportunity has arisen for an
experienced and reliable SENIOR NIGHT care assistant to become part of our team at Hazeldene House.

The role is based at a small, privately owned, homely 21 bed residential care home (in the Clay Cross area of Chesterfield) for elderly/dementia care and involves general support, personal care, cleaning duties alongside assistance with meal times and drinks preparation.

This is a great role in a more relaxed environment than a larger chain of residential care homes.


The role on offer is FULL TIME (3 to 4x10 hour shifts per week plus additional cover when required) but flexible in hours and can be developed once competence has been demonstrated.

Experience required_

  • Reliability and Flexibility is essential for the role, although the staff rota will be completed a month in advance.
  • Shifts will include weekends.
  • Experience of running and leading a shift in a SENIOR role ensuring tasks are completed to a high standard.
Experience of medication storing, administration and recording is essential for senior role.

  • Experience of working to support and meet the care needs of elderly clients/residents is essential (ideally in a residential setting) alongside basic care training.

Level 3 NVQ In Health and Social Care, care certificate or equivalent. (or willing to undertake.

  • A DBS check will be required in order to undertake the role.
  • Basic training and induction will be provided.

A portable DBS would be an advantage
