Do you have a passion for education? Are you an experience teaching assistant or a graduate looking for your next role within mainstream or specialist schools?

Long-Term Teachers are working closely with some fantastic schools located in the Exeter area who are seeking enthusiastic and hard-working teaching assistants to join their team.

About the role:

  • Provide 1:1 support for students with specific needs
  • Support the classroom teacher by assisting with displays of students' work, planning learning activities and behaviour management
  • Contribute to the monitoring and implementation of educational health care plans (EHCP's)
  • Promoting the safeguarding, welfare and personal care of young people with additional needs
  • Be a positive role model

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with children and have strong knowledge of the UK national curriculum. You should also posses knowledge of special educational practices and strategies. Most importantly, you should be patient, empathetic and resilient when working with students with a diverse range of needs.

We would love to hear from candidates who are seeking full time, part-time or flexible supply work. You will be working Monday to Friday, during term time only. School hours may vary slightly depending on the school.
