An exciting opportunity for a cook to join our family team.


Littleways Day Nurseries are situated in the heart of Manchester has an established tradition of delivering outstanding childcare to the children of Levenshulme and Longsight for over 20 years.


A vacancy has arisen at our friendly family nursery for a cook.

Hours of work:

15 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • To cook nutritious vegetarian meals (lunch and afternoon) to a high standard for both of the nurseries with children in our care appoximately 60 children each day.
  • To have input into the design of our menus.
  • To keep the kitchen clean and tidy & to ensure that we maintain our 5* hygiene rating
  • Maintain kitchen stock levels and order supplies
  • To be confident in catering for children with allergies and/or intollerances

Skills/Experience

  • Experience in catering for large numbers
  • Food Hygiene certificate minimum Level 2 (or be prepared to undertake this certificate after appointment and before starting)
