A fantastic opportunity has arisen to appoint a Band 4 Therapy Assistant who will work with both the physiotherapy and occupational therapy paediatric team and be part of the larger 71 member strong therapy team that constantly sets and achieves high standards, working with patients within Lincoln Hospital.

If you do not meet all the academic requirements, or clinical competencies, transitional band 3-4 post could be considered.

Our team aims to maximise an individual's abilities, with a focus on patient-centred goals.

With good MDT working and strong links with our community colleagues, our friendly, supportive team work together to help support patient flow, ensuring a smooth transition between hospital, outpatient and community settings.

They will follow established treatment protocols, monitoring progression and reporting any concerns back to the registered OT/PT.


They will coordinate pre-op phone calls for children awaiting elective surgery to identify any post op equipment needs eg wheelchairs/ commodes, ordering equipment required in a timely manner and signposting parents towards appropriate support organisations.


There will be opportunities to engage in service developments and training and the post holder will assist with the supporting and skill development of Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy staff including assistants, apprentices and students.

There will be opportunities to engage in both personal and service developments as well as training.

The post holder will be required to work Bank Holidays & weekends as part of a rota.
