As an SEN Specialist (Complex Needs), you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of students and make a meaningful impact on their learning and development.


The Role:

As an SEN Specialist (Complex Needs), you will be responsible for providing tailored support and interventions to students with a range of complex needs, including but not limited to autism, learning disabilities, and sensory impairments.

Whether it's adapting curriculum materials, providing one-to-one support, or collaborating with external agencies, you will play a crucial role in promoting inclusion and enabling students to thrive in a mainstream school setting.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessing students' individual needs and devising personalised support plans
  • Delivering targeted interventions and strategies to support students' learning and development
  • Collaborating with teachers, support staff, and external professionals to ensure coordinated support for students
  • Monitoring and evaluating students' progress and adjusting support strategies as needed
  • Providing guidance and support to staff on best practices for supporting students with complex needs Requirements:
  • Relevant qualification in Special Educational Needs or related field
  • Experience working with students with complex needs in an educational setting
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in SEN provision
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Dedication to safeguarding and child protection, with a commitment to promoting the welfare of all students Benefits:
