Organisation Information:
Bouygues Travaux Publics (TP) and Laing O'Rourke, two of Europe's most dynamic engineering and construction specialists, are working together in a joint venture named BYLOR to deliver the main civil engineering works at Hinkley Point C (HPC) worth over £2.8 billion.nBylor are responsible for the Design & Build (D&B) including fit out and handover of the HBX Operations Service Centre (OSC) within Hinkley Point C.
The building is a mixed use warehouse/office/laboratory/restaurant and office building which connects to both Unit 1& 2 Turbine Halls via sky bridges.
Purpose of the role:
The Section Manager will work directly with the construction manager and ensure that the project is built to the right quality, to the highest standards of safety and in line with the agreed schedule.
Key responsibilities and specific accountabilities:
Sub-contract management
Managing daily the sub-contractors on a floor/zone basisnMonitor labour and material resource levels for each packagenDaily diary of progress and notable actionsnContribute to the overall logistic plan of the site for your specific packagesnChair and assist package interface meeting in both design and construction spacenResponsible for ensuring works meet the correct quality benchmarks and specification including the use of electronic record systems (FV/Snagmaster or similar)nDesign input- ensure design is buildable and coordinate with design team in timely manner to ensure works comply with the clients specificationnReview and input into SHEQ documentation inclusive of RAMS/ITPs/QA etcnAssist with LTQRs and handover of area/rooms/levels in line with procedures and schedulesnAssist with overall logistics and plans to facilitate the works
Essential skills & knowledge:
Technical Skills:
nBuildings experience of 1- 5yrs + - specific to internal/fit out trades-understands the interfaces and complexities of a building projectnMethodical thinker and action takernConstruction management or civil engineering degreenStrong organisational and time management skills- candidate will be responsible for multiple packagesnBIM -2D and 3D at basic-intermediate level- additional training will be provided.

All positions with Bylor are employed directly with either Laing O'Rourke or Bouygues Travaux Public and include competitive salaries, private medical insurance, company pension schemes and annual holiday allowance.
