An excellent opportunity for an Assistant Procurement Manager to join a major infrastructure company based in Birmingham with a salary up to £37,700 with an additional 15% flex fund.
The Assistant Procurement Manager supports the development of procurementstrategies across major projects within a public sector environment, and leads continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.
There are fantastic development opportunities into a Procurement Manager position and beyond over the next few years.Responsibilities of the Assistant Procurement Manager:
- Managing procurement activities from identifying business needs all the way through to contract award.
- Providing commercial support and decisionmaking across contracts, ensuring that project objectives are successfully delivered.
- Ensuring all procurement activity is compliant with the relevant EU and UK legislation.
- Building value within the supply chain by building strong and sustainable commercial relationships with stakeholders.
Person Specification of theAssistant Procurement Manager:
- Understandingof procuring through public sector procurement regulations, such as
- Experience of procuring large value complex heavy civils/construction or similar works/services.
- Strong ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Salary:
Up to £37,700 + additional 15% flex fund
This role will be ideal for you if you have previous experience within purchasing and procurement as a Buyer, Senior Buyer, Category Manager, Commodity Manager, Procurement Officer, or similar.
