Band 5 Transport and Logistics Supervisor

Reporting directly to the Deputy Transport and Logistics Manager, your role will be to assist with the day -to -day collection and delivery of medical devices and consumables required for clinical use.
We provide a service to our own customers, other NHS and Private Hospitals.
On arrival for interview a DVLA licence check will take place, if the checks are satisfactory the interview will take place.
Oversee and participate in the collection and delivery of Medical Devices and consumables including sterile and unsterile goods to and from NHS organisations, provide healthcare providers and other healthcare providers.
Perform administrative tasks and ensure accurate work logs are kept in relation to goods transported and vehicles used.
Supervision of dispatch area, ensuring instrumentation and endoscopes are prepared for dispatch in line with planned delivery schedules.
Ensure all vehicles are safe, clean and roadworthy at all times.
Overseeing and ensuring vehicle checks within the department
Responsible for the vehicle maintenance & booking in of routine services and repairs in line with manufacturer recommendations
Responsible for ensuring that all inductions and training is completed within the Transport & Logistics department for new starters and refresher training.
Arrange driver cover rotas and ensure all delivery schedules are met.
Organisation and approval of annual leave and arranging essential cover.
