A fantastic opportunity has presented for an trained or aspiring SENDCO to work on a part-time basis in a wonderful school in Cheadle, Stockport.

This is a part-time role (3 days) a week which are flexible and will commencing Easter 2024 until the end of the academic year.

This exciting opportunity pays an attractive salary between £ per day) and would suit those who have a passion for SEND and supporting strong child, parent and agency partnerships to support best outcomes for children.

About the Role


As SENDCO, you will liaise with class teachers to learn about how you can successfully support children with additional needs on EHCP plans.

You will be tasked with monitoring progress and inputting data online as well as ensuring paperwork is up to date.

Where necessary, you will communicate with external agencies to arrange review meetings, discuss future plans and feedback on individual pupil progress.


  • Hold the National SENCo award, have prior experience as SENDCo in the primary setting or have a strong background in SEND and be an aspiring SENDCo
  • Be an integral part of the Senior Leadership team
  • Have an excellent understanding of how to secure progress and improve outcomes for all pupils
  • Have experience planning and delivering provision for a wide range of specific needs
  • Be able to effectively implement an intervention programme to raise levels of attainment.
  • Have experience of effectively supporting colleagues to develop their practice
  • Have the knowledge and skills to liaise effectively with a range of agencies
  • Enjoy working as part of a team
This single form entry school is based in Cheadle, Stockport and has an average number of pupils on role. The school uses SEND provision pyramids which provide a clear structure of support from which progress can be determined.

From sensory activities, SEND resources, to useful apps for parents -the school prides itself on it's ability to support children and families in achieving their learning targets and educational goals.


This important post will be filled by someone who has an inclusive philosophy, excellent leadership skills and is fully committed to the school community and its children.


To be successful in this role:

  • You must hold QTS status or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Provide a CV with at least 10 years employment/education history included and employment breaks must be explained
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK.
